Privacy Policy
Version 2026-09-draft.2
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Yarnix keeps, why, for how long, who processes it for us, and how you export or delete it. It is a draft under legal review for the closed beta and not yet in force.
What we collect
- Account data: your email address, a password hash (never the password), your display name and the consents you gave (Terms, Privacy Policy, 18+).
- Waitlist data: your email address, where you signed up (for example the home page or a format), a referral code, and the optional answers you give (role, use case, episodes per month). We store only a keyed hash of your confirmation link.
- Your content: character passports, reference images, briefs, plans, renders and receipts.
- Security records: sign-in events, keyed hashes of IP addresses for rate limits, and an audit log of sensitive actions.
- Anonymous analytics: page events without cookies or advertising IDs. We drop anything that looks personal, and the anonymous visitor ID changes every day. Browsers that send Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track are not counted at all.
Why we use it
To run the service, to secure it, to send the emails you asked for (sign-in codes, the waitlist confirmation, invites) and to learn which pages help people. We do not sell personal data and we do not train AI models on your content.
Who processes data for us
- fal — image, video and voice generation (receives the prompts and reference images a render needs).
- OpenRouter — access to some video models (receives the prompts and frames a shot needs).
- Anthropic — the Yarnix planner, quality checks and moderation (receives briefs, plans and frames).
- Postmark — delivery of transactional email.
- Cloudflare Turnstile — checks that a form is used by a person, when enabled.
- PostHog (EU region) — anonymous analytics events, only when enabled.
- Hosting and database providers — named here before launch.
Model providers
fal and OpenRouter pass what a render needs (prompts, reference images, frames of your shots, dialogue text) to the company whose model makes that part of the episode. Which ones depend on the quality mode and the shot:
- Kuaishou (Kling) — video and lip-sync in Pro and Max.
- MiniMax — video in Draft and Standard. MiniMax may use inputs and outputs to improve its services.
- Google (Gemini API: Nano Banana, Veo, Lyria, Gemini TTS) — keyframes, reference images, video, music and voices.
- ByteDance / BytePlus (Seedream, Seedance) — keyframes and video.
- OpenAI (gpt-image) — keyframe edits in Max.
- ElevenLabs — voices and sound effects.
- Topaz Labs — upscaling Standard renders to 1080p.
- Sync Labs — lip-sync. Sync Labs may use content it receives to improve its services.
- Black Forest Labs (FLUX) — video and images on some routes. Black Forest Labs may use inputs and outputs to improve its services.
- Hedra — talking-character video on some routes. Hedra may use inputs and outputs to improve its services.
- Alibaba Cloud (Wan), xAI (Grok Imagine) and Lightricks (LTX) — alternative video models the router may pick for a shot.
Where a provider offers a choice, we opt out of its use of your content for training. The studio's Under the hood panel shows which model made each shot.
How long we keep it
Account data lives as long as your account. When you delete your account, your content and personal data are erased after a short grace period, and encrypted backups age out on a fixed schedule. Waitlist entries are deleted on request or when the waitlist closes.
Your rights
You can export your data and delete your account from Settings → Privacy. You can also ask us to access, correct or delete personal data, or object to processing, at support@yarnix.cc. You may complain to your data protection authority.
Age
Yarnix is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
