Terms of Service
Version 2026-09-draft.1
These Terms are an agreement between you and Yarnix about using the Yarnix website (yarnix.cc), studio and services ("the service"). This is a draft under legal review: it describes how we intend the service to work during the closed beta, and it is not in force until we publish a final version.
Who may use Yarnix
- You must be 18 or older to create an account. Yarnix is for adult creators, including adults who make content for children.
- You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password and sign-in codes private.
- One person per account. Team accounts and seats come later and will have their own terms.
Your cast and your videos
- The characters you create (their passports, reference images and voices) and the episodes you render are yours. We claim no ownership of them.
- You give us the limited permission we need to run the service for you: to store, process, moderate and render your content, and to show it back to you.
- We do not train AI models on your characters, briefs or outputs. The generation providers we use have their own terms; we list them in the Privacy Policy and, where they offer the choice, keep your content out of their training.
- Commercial use of outputs is included on the Pro and Studio plans. Before launch these Terms will state exactly what each plan allows.
AI-generated content
- Everything Yarnix renders is made with AI. Label it as AI-generated wherever a platform, a law or your audience expects that. Content credentials (C2PA) are on our roadmap; until they ship, labelling is your responsibility.
- The Yarnix planner writes shot plans from your brief. Review what you publish.
Real people and other people's work
- You may base a character on a real person only with that person's verified consent. Public figures and celebrities are refused.
- Do not upload or describe characters, logos or other material you do not have the rights to.
- The Acceptable Use Policy is part of these Terms.
Credits, quotes and refunds
- Paid actions are quoted in credits before they start. Credits for a render are held when it starts and charged only for shots that are delivered.
- Shots that fail quality checks are retaken within the hold. A shot that is never delivered is not charged; the unused part of the hold returns to your balance.
- Nothing is billed during the waitlist. Plans, prices, renewal and cancellation terms — including whether unused credits roll over — will be published before billing starts.
When things go wrong
- We may pause or close accounts that break these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or that put other people at risk.
- The service is provided as it is during the beta. We work to keep it available and your data safe, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service.
- You can export your data and delete your account at any time from Settings → Privacy.
Changes and contact
We will tell signed-in users before a new version of these Terms takes effect and ask them to accept it. Questions: support@yarnix.cc.
